Based on the promise of the Alma Ata declaration, the People’s Health
Movement (PHM) has been spurred forward for nearly 20 years by the call for
health for all. The People’s Health Assemblies offer a unique space for
activists to come together to reflect, learn from each other’s experiences,
and build global solidarity in our continued activism.



Drawing on experiences of civil society organizations and networks, social
movements, academia and other actors from around the globe the PHA4 will
focus on local/regional/global aspects of:



·         The political and economic landscape of development and health

·         Social and physical environments that destroy or promote health

·         Strengthening health systems to make them accountable,
comprehensive, integrated and networked

·         Continued organizing and mobilizing for Health for All



There will be discussions to strategise and plan global coordinated action
on

·         Health systems,  against privatisation, defence of public
systems, Human Resources for Health etc.

·         Food and Nutrition and Food Sovereignty

·         Trade and Health + Access to Medicines

·         Gender and Health

·         Environment, Extractive Industries, and Development



Around these themes we will share our stories and strategize together for
sustained and future action toward realizing the right to health for
everyone!
