*Call for Candidates for Roster of Practitioners in HIV and Human Rights*

The XVIII International AIDS Conference in Vienna, whose theme was “Rights
Here, Rights Now,” provided a unique opportunity to bring together many
people from around the world who share an interest in and commitment to a
human rights-based response to HIV/AIDS.

As a follow-up to AIDS 2010 and as part of a larger effort to support
greater collaboration among key people working on HIV, human rights and law,
UNAIDS and the Canadian HIV/AIDS Legal Network have partnered in order to
develop an international roster of practitioners with experience in HIV and
human rights.

We are seeking practitioners who have worked on human rights programming and
advocacy on legal and policy issues related to HIV.  In particular, we
welcome suggestions of legal professionals who have a demonstrated track
record — preferably with a publication history — of human rights analysis as
it concerns HIV.  These resource people may be retained by UNAIDS to (1)
support countries on audits of the HIV legal environment and/or (2) develop
proposals and implement and evaluate strategies for programmes to increase
access to justice and reduce stigma and discrimination.  With their consent,
experts may also be added to the list of resource people on the AIDSLEX
“People Connector” (www.aidslex.org).

individuals who should be approached about their inclusion in the roster,

Sous le thème « Les droits, ici et maintenant », le XVIIIe Congrès
international sur le sida de Vienne fut une occasion unique de réunir des
gens des quatre coins du monde qui manifestent un intérêt et un engagement
partagés, à l’égard d’une réponse au VIH/sida fondée sur les droits humains.

Comme suite à SIDA 2010 et dans le cadre d’un effort plus vaste pour
accroître la collaboration entre les individus œuvrant dans les domaines du
VIH, des droits humains et du droit, l’ONUSIDA et le Réseau juridique
canadien VIH/sida collaborent à développer un registre international de
praticiens expérimentés en matière de VIH et de droits humains.

Nous sommes à la recherche de praticiens ayant travaillé à des programmes de
droits humains et au plaidoyer sur des enjeux juridiques et de politiques
liés au VIH. En particulier, nous accueillons les suggestions de
professionnels juridiques au parcours démontré — de préférence avec
historique de publications — en analyse des droits humains dans le contexte
du VIH. Ces personnes ressources pourraient être retenues par l’ONUSIDA pour
(1) aider des pays lors de vérifications du cadre juridique relatif au VIH
et/ou (2) développer des propositions et mettre en œuvre et évaluer des
stratégies  programmatiques pour rehausser l’accès à la justice et réduire
le stigmate et la discrimination. Avec leur consentement, ces experts
pourraient aussi être ajoutés à la « Liaison AIDSLEX entre individus » (
www.aidslex.org).

*Solicitud de Candidatos para un Roster de Abogados en Ejercicio en el área
del VIH y los Derechos Humanos*

La XVIII Conferencia Internacional sobre el SIDA en Viena, cuyo lema fue
“Derechos aquí y ahora” ofreció una oportunidad única para reunir a personas
de distintas partes del mundo que comparten intereses y compromisos en la
respuesta al VIH/SIDA basada en los derechos humanos.

Como seguimiento a SIDA 2010 y a los esfuerzos más amplios para apoyar una
mayor colaboración entre personas clave que trabajan en VIH, derechos
humanos y derecho, ONUSIDA y la Red Legal Canadiense de VIH/SIDA se han
unido para elaborar un roster de abogados en ejercicio en el área del VIH y
los derechos humanos.

Buscamos abogados en ejercicio que hayan trabajado en programas e incidencia
política sobre derechos humanos en temas legales y de política relacionados
con el VIH. Particularmente, apreciamos sugerencias de profesionales del
derecho que hayan demostrado su labor –preferiblemente con publicaciones –
en el análisis de los derechos humanos y su relación con el VIH. Estas
personas podrían ser contratados por ONUSIDA para (1) apoyar a los países en
las auditorias del entorno legal sobre el VIH y/o (2) elaborar propuestas e
implementar y evaluar estrategias para programas con el fin de aumentar el
acceso a la justicia y reducir el estigma y la discriminación. En ese
contexto, los expertos podrían ser agregados a la lista del “Conector de
Personas” de AIDSLEX (http://www.aidslex.org).

человека*

XVIII международная конференция по вопросам ВИЧ/СПИДа в Вене, проходившая
под лозунгом «Здесь и сейчас», предоставила уникальную возможность собрать
со всего мира многих людей, которых объединяет общая заинтересованность и
приверженность мерам в ответ на ВИЧ/СПИД, основанным на правах человека.

В качестве логического продолжения конференции СПИД 2010 и как часть усилий
по поддержке более тесного сотрудничества между специалистами, работающими в
области ВИЧ, прав человека и законодательства, ЮНЭЙДС в партнерстве с
Канадской правовой сетью по ВИЧ/СПИДу занимаются составлением международного
реестра специалистов-практиков в области ВИЧ и прав человека.

Мы ищем практиков, имеющих опыт работы в правозащитных программах и опыт
правозащитной деятельности по правовым и политическим вопросам, связанным с
ВИЧ. Мы приветствуем, в частности, предложения кандидатур практикующих
юристов, имеющих весомые достижения – предпочтительно, подкрепленные
публикациями – в сфере правозащитного анализа, затрагивающего вопросы ВИЧ.
ЮНЭЙДС может приглашать таких экспертов, чтобы (1) оказать поддержку
странам, проводящим ревизию правовой среды, относящейся к вопросам ВИЧ и/или
(2) разработать предложения, а также реализовать и оценить стратегии для
программ по расширению доступа к правосудию и сокращению стигмы и
