Greeting from Iran.We have completed  the translation of "A CALL FOR ACTION
FOR HEALTH FOR ALL NOW" anonced by PHM.I am pleased to inform you that the
Farsi Translation of An Overview of GHW2 and the above mentioned call for
Action both have been launched In an International Conference on Traditioal
And Complementary Medicine Organized by the UNIVERSITY of MAZENDARAN(MY HOME
PROVINCE); at the end of my presentation on 30 November 2008.PHM was well
introduced in a session where more than 300 professor ,participants from
different countries as well as good number of medical school and nursing
school students.200 copies of the overview and Call for Action and 30 copies
of my book on" POVERTY, Health and DEVELOPMENT" was dis tributed among the
participants.It was well recieved and a lots of Questions and Answer came
after the Launching.It was a great day.

Also I am pleased to inform you that in cooperation with the Municipality of
Tehran a group of NGOs including PHM Iran is going to organize an EXHIBITION
in Tehran inorder to show the ability and efficiency of the Civil Societies
of Iran to the authorities of Iran on 26,27 and 28 December 2008.PHM will
have a show-room there.We have planned to demonstrate all activities of PHM
Iran including Poverty Alleviation(BMN),Drug Rehabilitation
program(NARCONON), and will launch the GHW2 Overview.It is expected that
thousands of people in addition to the high authorities of the country and
academia visit the Exhibition.The launching will be done all the 3 above
mentioned days and numerous copies of te overview will be distributed to the
visitors of PHM Show Room by the PHM colleagues of Iran.

There was a PHC WHO ME meeting in Qatar. The Qattar Decleration in support
of Alma-Ata Decleration was launched.I hope that some urgent action be taken
by the WHO Circle of PHM to bring such declarations from all WHO regions
tothe World Health Assembly.
