BMJ Global Leadership Award: Call for nominations
Organisation: British Medical Journal Group
Closing Date: 19 December 2008

Celebrating an individual, organisation or initiative that has shown
outstanding vision and impact in improving healthcare in the developing
world.

Notes for entries to all awards:

All awards are open to nominations from the individual/organisation OR a
third party.
All nominations will be required to fill out the nomination form with
designated fields and attach required documentation as stated below.
All awards are for work completed/published after 1st January 2007
(excluding The Lifetime Achievement Award)

You are able to enter more than one category
The closing date for entries is 12pm, Friday 19th December 2008
No cash alternative is available for the award
Winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on Thursday 2nd April 2009
Eligibility

Open to UK and international entrants
Initiatives to have been implemented after 1st January 2007
Judging criteria

The expert panel of judges will be looking for the individual, organisation
or initiative that has most demonstrated:

A significant impact on improving heath care in the developing world
Clear and courageous vision
Outstanding communication across geographic and societal borders
Long standing commitment
Leadership by personal example

Entry requirements

500 words on what initiatives the individual/organisation has taken
Supporting documentation/data as to how the initiative has made a
difference. For example, reports, press releases, project plans, graphs,
survey results, websites and press coverage (no more than two attachments
per entry)
