<br>BMJ Global Leadership Award: Call for nominations<br>Organisation: British Medical Journal Group<br>Closing Date: 19 December 2008<br><br>Celebrating an individual, organisation or initiative that has shown outstanding vision and impact in improving healthcare in the developing world.<br>
<br>Notes for entries to all awards:<br><br>All awards are open to nominations from the individual/organisation OR a third party.<br>All nominations will be required to fill out the nomination form with designated fields and attach required documentation as stated below.<br>
All awards are for work completed/published after 1st January 2007 (excluding The Lifetime Achievement Award)</div>
<div>Preview<br>You are able to enter more than one category<br>The closing date for entries is 12pm, Friday 19th December 2008<br>No cash alternative is available for the award<br>Winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on Thursday 2nd April 2009<br>
Eligibility<br><br>Open to UK and international entrants<br>Initiatives to have been implemented after 1st January 2007<br>Judging criteria<br><br>The expert panel of judges will be looking for the individual, organisation or initiative that has most demonstrated:<br>
<br>A significant impact on improving heath care in the developing world<br>Clear and courageous vision<br>Outstanding communication across geographic and societal borders<br>Long standing commitment<br>Leadership by personal example<br>
<br>Entry requirements<br><br>500 words on what initiatives the individual/organisation has taken<br>Supporting documentation/data as to how the initiative has made a difference. For example, reports, press releases, project plans, graphs, survey results, websites and press coverage (no more than two attachments per entry)<br>
