Con ruego de difusión
 
El Movimiento Nacional Por el derecho a la Salud  se une a la indignación y
protesta de los pobladores de Laurelty, por la total inoperancia e ineptitud
con
que las Autoridades Nacionales  han manejado la situación desde que se
desatara el brote de  Fiebre Amarilla en nuestro país.

Responsabilizamos al Presidente de la República  y al Ministro de Salud
Pública por las muertes y enfermedades por Fiebre Amarilla que han sucedido
y los que puedan suceder en adelante, producto de la falta de previsión,
desinformación e irresponsabilidad con que se actuó ante esta grave amenaza
para la salud pública, desde que se tuviera la información del brote de la
enfermedad en el Brasil.

Resulta dramáticamente vergonzoso la inoperancia del Ministerio de Salud que
teniendo la información del brote de la enfermedad en el Brasil y ante las
primeras sospechas de la enfermedad en nuestro país no se hayan tomado los
recaudos necesarios para garantizar lo mínimo de lo mínimo, como son las
vacunas, para un inmediato bloqueo de las zonas de riesgo.

Consideramos un insulto mayor  que el mismo Ministro de salud haya dado un
falso diagnóstico en el primer caso de muerte por fiebre amarilla en
Laurelty y que haya mentido descaradamente al pueblo prometiendo un
inmediato bloqueo en la zona cuando que ocho días después aún no se haya
hecho nada. 

Consideramos inhumano e inescrupuloso lo denunciado por pobladores de
Laurelty que aseguran que las escasas e insuficientes vacunas traídas el 13
de Febrero fueron destinadas a las casas de operadores políticos colorados
que priorizaron la vacunación de sus correligionarios.

Condenamos enérgicamente el abandono de la  ciudadanía por parte de las
autoridades, dejándola al borde del colapso sin siquiera tener el respeto de
escucharla y asumir sus responsabilidades.

Los pobladores de Laurelty nos han dado una lección de dignidad y ciudadanía
al salir a las calles a exigir para todos/as nosotros//as el Derecho a una
Salud pública sin exclusiones

Exhortamos   a la ciudadanía a seguir el ejemplo de Laurelty a exigir a
nuestra autoridades a que cumplan con el mandato constitucional de
garantizar la Salud de todos los habitantes de este país , sin desmedro de
nuestro compromiso ciudadano de redoblar esfuerzos en eliminar todo posible
criadero de larvas en nuestras casas y nuestro barrios.

Hoy más que nunca reclamamos la necesidad de una verdadera revolución de la
salud pública que haga posible que la vida de cada ciudadano/a sea el valor
más preciado y defendido en su justa medida
 
La salud es un Derecho no se compra, no se vende, no se mendiga

La salud es responsabilidad del Estado

Please diffuse widely

The National Movement for the Right to Health joins with the indignation and
protest of the population of Laurelty for the complete dysfunction and
ineptitude with which the National Authorities have managed the situation
since the outbreak of yellow fever was unleashed in our country.

We hold responsible the President of the Republic and the Health Ministry
for the deaths and illness from yellow fever that have happened and that can
continue due to the lack of foresight, disinformation and irresponsibility
in the face of this grave public health threat since information on the
outbreak in Brazil was received.

The dysfunction of the Health ministry is shameful in that having the
information of the Brazil outbreak before there was any suspicion of of the
disease in ours, they did not take even the minimum steps, such as
vaccination, to prevent the spread of the disease into the zones at risk.

We consider it a major insult that the same Health Ministry has given a
false diagnosis to the first death from yellow fever in Laurelty and has
lied to the people promising an immediate block  (quarantine?) in the zone
when eight days later it has still done nothing.

We consider it inhuman and unscrupulous what the population of Laurelty has
denounced - that the few vaccines brought on February 13th were destined for
the houses of Colorado political party operatives who prioritize the
vaccination for party members.

We energetically condemn the abandonment of the citizenry by the
authorities, leaving them on the edge of collapse without even the respect
to listen to them and assume their responsibilities.

The population of Laurelty has given us a lesson on dignity and citizenship
by going out into the streets to demand the right to public health for all
without exclusions.

We exhort citizens to follow the example of Laurelty and demand that our
authorities comply with their constitutional mandate to provide health for
all the inhabitants of this country, without shirking from our commitment as
citizens to redouble out efforts to eliminate all possible breeding grounds
for mosquitoes in our houses and neighborhoods.

Today more than ever we reclaim the need for a true revolution in public
health that makes the life of each citizen the highest value and justly
defended.

Health is a right. It is not bought. It is not sold. It is not begged for.
Health is the responsibility of the state.
