*GLOBAL HEALTH LEADERSHIP AWARDS*
*Second component of the Teasdale-Corti Global Health Research Partnership
Program*

*Call for Applications*



The Global Health Research Initiative (GHRI), a partnership formed by the
Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA), the Canadian Institutes of
Health Research (CIHR), Health Canada and the International Development
Research Centre (IDRC), promotes the conduct and use of health research in
low-  and middle-income countries (LMICs). It is offering these unique
awards to support the development of emerging leaders from LMICs currently
engaged in research partnerships as:

·       applied health researchers or

·       health-system managers or policymakers (research users).



Mid-career candidates are invited to propose and undertake a program of
professional and career development specifically designed to strengthen the
candidate's technical expertise, leadership abilities, partnership skills
and other qualities -- to help the candidates advance in their work as
leaders in the execution of research, or in the application of research for
better health policy and health-system management.



*KEY DATES*

Registration due: October 22, 2007

Full application due: January 14, 2008

Notification of results: April 2008

*Deuxième composante du Programme de partenariat Teasdale-Corti de recherche
en santé mondiale*

*Appel de propositions*



L'Initiative de recherche en santé mondiale (IRSM), un partenariat
regroupant l'Agence canadienne de développement international (ACDI), les
Instituts de recherche en santé du Canada (IRSC), Santé Canada et le Centre
de recherches pour le développement international (CRDI), appuie l'exécution
et l'utilisation de recherches en santé dans les pays à faible revenu et à
revenu intermédiaire (PFR PRI). L'IRSM offre ces bourses afin de contribuer
au perfectionnement de futurs dirigeants de PFR PRI qui participent
actuellement à des partenariats de recherches appliquées en santé, à titre :

·       de chercheurs, ou

·       de décideurs ou gestionnaires de systèmes de santé (utilisateurs de
la recherche).



Les candidats en milieu de carrière sont invités à proposer un programme de
perfectionnement professionnel spécialement conçu pour renforcer leur savoir
faire technique, leurs capacités de gestion, leurs aptitudes à travailler en
partenariat ou d'autres qualités qui leur permettraient de progresser dans
la mise en place, l'élaboration ou l'application de recherches en vue
d'améliorer les politiques de santé et la gestion des systèmes de santé.

Date limite d'inscription : le 22 octobre 2007

Date limite de présentation de la proposition complète : le 14 janvier 2008

Communication des résultats : avril 2008
