The BMA International Department runs the BMA/BMJ Information Fund which
considers requests for health information from organisations in developing
countries and other areas of need. The fund does not grant money but makes
donations of educational materials, such as books, CD-ROMs and videos. We
are limited by a budget of £30,000 but we are inviting applications from
medical schools, medical libraries, health care institutions, health NGOs
and similar organisations. Please note that we are unable to consider
requests from individuals.

The BMA is now working with two suppliers to donate the books - Teaching
Aids at Low Cost (TALC) and Blackwell. If you would like your organisation
to be considered for a donation from the Fund, please complete in full the
application form which can be downloaded from the BMA's website. Please
select the items you require from one or both of the booklists (also
available from the BMA website). You can find all of the relevant
documents here:

http://www.bma.org.uk/ap.nsf/Content/informationfund07

Completed application forms and booklists should then be sent to the BMA
by e-mail to internationalinfo at bma.org.uk, by post to British Medical
Association, BMA House, Tavistock Square, London WC1H 9JP, United Kingdom,
or by fax on +44 (0) 207 383 6644.

The closing date for this year's round of applications is 28 September
2007.
