a Frankfurt-based German Non-Governmental Organization, provides emergency relief and supports development projects to secure access to health care for those in need. 

 

For the implementation of the ECHO-funded project "meeting the health needs of communities in the Ramallah district by sustaining and improving the health care services" in the Occupied Palestinian Territories (ECHO/-ME/BUD/2006/01011)

 

we are looking for a                     

Health Expert 

 

Duration:         four (4) field missions (of approx. 10 to 14 days of duration each) during the project period of 10 months (September 2006 - June 2007)

 

Location:         Ramallah District, Westbank

 

Requirements:

  a.. At least 5 years professional and practical experience with primary health programmes at community and district level and knowledge of public health (experience in Middle East context preferred) 
  b.. Good negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills 
  c.. Good analytical and organisational skills as well as accuracy. High level of reliability. 
  d.. Fluency of English (written and spoken), Arabic would be an advantage 
  e.. Knowledge of ECHO regulations a plus 
  f.. Ability to travel inside Israel and the West Bank 
  g.. Ability to write clear and concise reports 
  h.. Excellent computer skills to allow reporting (Excel, Word etc) 
  i.. Good health and able to travel to target communities 
  j.. Driving License.
Applicant should have a wide range of skills and interests.
