materials. These are written to be accessible to health workers and others

Sanitation and Cleanliness for a Healthy Environment
This booklet offers basic information and learning activities to help
communities understand and prevent sanitation-related health problems. It
also gives communities information about how significant sanitation
improvements can be made by better use of local knowledge, skills and
resources. Communities are offered a choice of affordable, safe, and
environmentally sound sanitation alternatives, including instructions for
building several kinds of latrines, as well as ecological sanitation
solutions. Published in collaboration with the United Nations Development
Programme (UNDP).

Water for Life - Community Water Security
This booklet helps communities draw on their own knowledge and resources
to protect and improve existing water sources, as well as how to develop
new sources when needed. It offers basic information and learning
activities to help communities understand and prevent water-related health
problems. Water for Life also includes information about safe water
transport and storage, and practical methods to make water safe for
drinking and cooking. Also published in collaboration with the UNDP.
