ActionAid International calls all interested institutions to submit
research proposals for a program to increase the capacity of Americas'
region civil society, especially farmers' organizations and social
movements, to participate in and influence the current agricultural
trade negotiations.

ActionAid International calls all interested institutions to submit
research proposals for a program to increase the capacity of Americas'
region civil society, especially farmers' organizations and social
movements, to participate in and influence the current agricultural
trade negotiations. 

The proposals selected will be financed by the program Building
Agriculture, Development and Trade Latin-American Network, co-financed
by IDRC (International Development Research Centre). 

Research themes should be identified by interested researchers/research
institutions under the following topic areas:

*	

	Special and differential treatment, food security and food
sovereignty in developing countries. 
*	

	Market access, agribusiness and direct & indirect impacts to
family farming and poverty reduction.
*	

	Large corporations and the implementation of current trade
agreements on agriculture and its impacts in employment and family
farming.
*	

	Impact analysis of AoA/WTO trade liberalization on small
farmers, food security and food sovereignty.
*	

	Impact analysis of AoA/WTO on domestic policies.
*	

	Comparative analysis of the implications of trade agreements'
agriculture chapters on small-scale farming. 

ActionAid wishes to invite Expressions of Interest (EoI) to develop
research and posterior full proposals which will be evaluated by the
Research Scientific Committee. 

The project call has a global value of GBP 29.410,00 to be allocated
between 7 and 10 projects. Thus, the minimum value allocated to each
will be GBP 2.941,00.
