Nomination Call for the White Ribbon Alliance for Safe Motherhood
Annual
Contest

The purpose of this contest is to recognize innovative projects that
have
raised awareness about maternal mortality and inspired action to reduce
these preventable deaths. 

The contest recognizes awareness raising activities that use the white
ribbon. Eligible applicants must have implemented such activities
between
March 2003 and March 2004. 

Award-winning activities have the potential to serve as models in the
promotion of safe motherhood, and may be replicated in other regions of
the
world. A total of three awards will be presented, two from entrants who
have
not previously won this contest, and one from previous contest winners.
