<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify;margin:0in 0in 10pt;line-height:115%;font-size:11pt;font-family:Calibri"><span style="font-size:12pt;line-height:115%">PHM – Sri Lanka held its December 2018 Monthly Meeting on 20^th
December 2018 and Lanka Plus, one of the affiliated organizations of PHM Sri
Lanka commemorated World AIDS Day during this Meeting.<span>  </span>The National STD & AIDS Control Programme
presented valuable information on current issues. It emphasized the value of
blood testing and stressed the point that the youth population is at high risk.<span>  </span><span></span></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify;margin:0in 0in 10pt;line-height:115%;font-size:11pt;font-family:Calibri"><span style="font-size:12pt;line-height:115%">After that, a discussion on PHA4 experiences was commenced. <span> </span>All the participants of PHA4 were present and
all of them presented their views and experiences.<span>  </span>They showed their gratitude towards their
individual organizations and spoke highly about the value of the proceedings of
the Seminars and Meetings of PHA4.<span>   </span>The
participants of PHA4 were highly moved about the international collaboration
and the brotherhood that prevailed throughout the Assembly.<span>  </span>Privatization of the Health Sector does not
affect only Sri Lanka, but it showed that it is a universal problem now and the
participants of PHA4 now have a clear understanding about it.<span>  </span>During the course of the discussion, they
emphasized that collaboration of health and politics plays a major role.<span></span></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify;margin:0in 0in 10pt;line-height:115%;font-size:11pt;font-family:Calibri"><span style="font-size:12pt;line-height:115%">At the end of the meeting it was decided that we should build
up PHM–Sri Lanka in all the Districts of Sri Lanka if possible.<span></span></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify;margin:0in 0in 10pt;line-height:115%;font-size:11pt;font-family:Calibri"><span style="font-size:12pt;line-height:115%">Before commencement of the Meeting, a two minute silence was
observed to commemorate Comrade Dr Amit Sengupta who passed away from our midst
soon after PHA4.<span>  </span><span></span></span></p>
