society organizations (Members of health sector in PNGO) in Gaza <span> </span>are calling for <i>a peaceful protest in solidarity
</i>with<span>  </span>Palestinians and their rights
on Sunday April 8^th at 11:00 am, in commemoration of World Health
Day which comes with the theme of <b>Universal Health Coverage</b> this year.
The activity aims at shedding light on the ongoing Israeli violations against
Palestinians and their right to health and to call for an end to the blockade of
Gaza so Palestinians can enjoy their health rights. <span></span>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0in 0in 10pt;line-height:115%;font-size:11pt;font-family:Calibri,sans-serif">The protest is planned to take place near the eastern
borders of Gaza city as part of the Great March of Return which is a peaceful
march agreed by all Palestinians. Its activities started on Friday March 30^th,
which marked Land Day, and are planned to continue until May 15^th,
which commemorates the Palestinian Nakbeh (or Catastrophe).<span></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0in 0in 10pt;line-height:115%;font-size:11pt;font-family:Calibri,sans-serif">Activities of the Great March of Return include peaceful protests
near the Gaza Strip borders. Although people have various activities as part of
the march and gather at the border every day, <span style="color:black;background:white">Fridays usually witness the heaviest presence for masses near
the borders and many victims fall on Fridays.<span></span></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0in 0in 10pt;line-height:115%;font-size:11pt;font-family:Calibri,sans-serif"><span style="color:black;background:white">On March 30^th,
at least 16 Palestinians were killed through direct targeting by Israeli
soldiers with live ammunition. Over 1500 others were injured either with live
bullets or as a result of gas inhalation, where Israeli soldiers fired tear gas
and other types of gas bombs towards Palestinians who gathered near the
borders.<span></span></span></p><br></div></div></div></div>
