week from 7 to 12 October 2013 in Cuenca, Ecuador, members of People’s health
Movement Latin America had the opportunity to reunite again to debate and
exchange experiences and ideas about how to defend the right to health. A whole
week long there were different testimonies, reunions and ceremonies. There were
several moments in which the participants got deeply motivated to take action,
only through the words of the speakers. Many presentations dealt with the
protection of Mother Earth against the megaprojects and gave examples of
protests against killer corporations and the hegemonic capitalist economic
