<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt;text-align:justify;line-height:normal"><span style="font-size:9.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">IndependentWHO (IW) is a citizen movement set up by individuals and associations* and supported by a wide coalition of NGOs. IW demands the complete independence of the World Health Organization (WHO) so that it may act according to its founding principles in the area of radiation and health.<u></u><u></u></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt;text-align:justify;line-height:normal"><span style="font-size:9.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif""><u></u> <u></u></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt;text-align:justify;line-height:normal"><span style="font-size:9.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">IW denounces the 1959 Agreement (WHA12-40) with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) whose mandate is “to accelerate and enlarge the contribution of atomic energy”. The Agreement constitutes an evident conflict of interest that prevents the WHO from accomplishing its mission including that of assisting “in developing an informed public opinion among all peoples on matters of health.”<u></u><u></u></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt;text-align:justify;line-height:normal"><span style="font-size:9.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif""><u></u> <u></u></span></p>
