with the Social Medicine Unit of the College of Medicine of the University of
the Philippines Manila, invites to a Forum on <b>“The Global Political and Economic Context
of Health.”</b><span> </span>This will be on <b>March 15, 2012, Thursday, </b>The speaker is Mr. Antonio Tujan <span> </span>from the IBON Foundation who will speak on the
abovementioned topic.<span> </span>An open forum
follows.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify"><span style="font-size:10.0pt" lang="EN-US"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify"><span style="font-size:10.0pt" lang="EN-US">Thereafter, Dr. Edelina P. Dela Paz, Coordinator of
the People’s Health Movement in the Philippines, will convene the <b>PHM Assembly, </b>give a<b> </b>report on the past activities of the
PHM Philippines and discuss the forthcoming <b>3<sup>rd</sup> People’s Health Assembly (PHA3)</b> to be held in
Capetown, South Africa on July 6-11, <span> </span>2012.<span> </span>As the PHM country circle for the
Philippines, we need to strengthen our organizational structure by convening
the committees which will help prepare for our involvement in the PHA3.<span> </span>We need to define more clearly who are the
members of PHM Philippines and have them be actively involved in these
different committees.<span> </span>As a PHM member,
please think of the committee that you may want to join.<span> </span>The committees are the following:<span> </span>Right to Health Committee, Education
Committee, Membership and Mobilizing Committee, Publications and Information Committee,
Finance and Resource Mobilization Committee.<span>
