the plight of asylum seekers on their way to <st1:country-region w:st="on">Israel</st1:country-region>
via the Sinai desert in <st1:country-region w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Egypt</st1:place></st1:country-region>,
where they are subjected to rape and torture. They reach <st1:country-region
w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Israel</st1:place></st1:country-region> in
desperate need of rehabilitation (physical and mental) but do not have access
to medical care aside of emergency room and our volunteer <a
href="http://www.phr.org.il/default.asp?PageID=26"><font color=black><span
style='color:windowtext'>open clinic</span></font></a>. They are vulnerable to
further abuse in <st1:country-region w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Israel</st1:place></st1:country-region>,
and the authorities do next to nothing to address their needs.<o:p></o:p></span></font></p>
