<p><span lang="ES-MX"> </span><b><span style="FONT-SIZE: 14pt">32,750</span></b> persons and organizations from 74 countries have added their voice to the petition in support of the Optional Protocol to the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights. With this petition we urge all countries to ensure that access to justice and the right to an effective remedy become a reality for all victims of human rights violations by signing the Optional Protocol on September 24, 2009 and ratifying it as soon as possible. We thank all of you who signed the petition. <p> We will be sending a letter with the results of this petition to several countries who have not yet confirmed their commitment to sing this Protocol on September 24. Con esta petición pedimos que todos los países aseguren que el acceso a la justicia y el derecho de un remedio efectivo sea una realidad para todas las víctimas de violaciones de derechos humanos, firmando el Protocolo Facultativo el 24 de septiembre de 2009 y ratificándolo lo antes posible.
