An online course on the human right to adequate food will be offered September 7-November 27, 2009 by Professor George Kent of the University of Hawai’i. Its premise is that solving the problem of widespread malnutrition is not simply a matter of correcting deficiencies among those who are hungry. Ending hunger requires respect for human rights, and it may require reconfiguration of the social order, locally, nationally, and globally.

The course will be conducted entirely online through Transcend Peace University.
