wake of the difficulties in Kenya. Partisan positions are not
necessarily what will bring peace and a return to normalcy. Be that
as it may, it should be stated clearly that PHM fights for more than just
health. The socio-political determinants of health are often more
important to ensuring health than direct health service delivery. In
spatial terms Kenya is not too far away from anyone. Unfortunately the
news that comes to us comes through filters that we should be very cautious about.
No one can say with a high degree of certainty how the crisis in Kenya came
about much less how to resolve it. <o:p></o:p></span></p>

of the Kenyan elections, PHM must say so. The unacceptable cannot be
accepted simply because “we need peace”. Peace cannot
be built on the wobbly pillars of injustice. And there is no injustice
that reeks to hell than the act of subverting the people’s right to free
choice.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
