PHM-Exch> New IPHU Course For the European Region in Thessaloniki, Greece, coming up in September

The International People’s Health University (IPHU) of the People’s Health
Movement (PHM) jointly with the International Association of Health Policy
in Europe (IAHPE) and the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki
announce *Struggle
for Health: a short training course for young health activists from 19th to
24th of September, 2023, in Thessaloniki, Greece.*

The People’s Health Movement (PHM), through its International People’s
Health University (IPHU), is organizing for the European region a six-day
short course on “Struggle for Health” from 19-24 September 2023. The course
will be in association with the Conference of International Association of
Health Policy in Europe (IAHPE) that will be held in Thessaloniki, Greece
from 21 to 24 September 2023. The course will be implemented jointly with
the International Association of Health Policy in Europe and the Laboratory
of Primary Health Care and Health Services Research of the Aristotle
University of Thessaloniki Medical Department.

Accomodation and Travel
Accommodation will be offered locally and in solidarity. The local
organizers are making efforts to secure solidarity accommodation and cheap
options. Participants are expected to arrange their own travel.

The People’s Health Movement (PHM) is a global movement that has its roots
deep in the grassroots people’s movements and owes its genesis to many
health networks and activists who have been concerned by the growing
inequities in health over the last 25 years. The PHM calls for a
revitalization of the principles of the Alma-Ata Declaration, which
promised Health for All by the year 2000, and a complete revision of
international and domestic policy that has shown to negatively impact
health status and systems. The People’s Health Movement is coordinated by a

programs of the People’s Health Movement (PHM). IPHU is a global university
providing short courses and other resources for health activists. Courses
are of a high academic standard and are documented for academic credit from

activists to make new connections, share experiences, and study together.
IPHU short courses strengthen the global network of people’s health
activists.
