*Introduction: *Priyam Lizmary Cherian, Lawyer, currently with Sama,
working on the intersection of health and intellectual property.

*Speaker: Els Torreele* is a health and social justice researcher and
advocate, focusing on transforming medical innovation to prioritize health
needs and equitable access to knowledge and technologies. For over 20
years, she has combined R&D work with policy-advocacy at Brussels
University, Médecins Sans Frontières, OSF, Drugs for Neglected Diseases
*initiative*, and is now Visiting Fellow at the Institute for Innovation
and Public Purpose, University College London.



*Speaker and Moderator: Lauren Paremoer*

Lauren Paremoer is a Senior Lecturer in Political Studies at the University
of Cape Town. Her research focuses on health activism, global governance
for health, and political mobilisation aimed at realising social
citizenship in societies of the Global South.
