We would like to share with you the latest initiative to pressure German
Government to end the blockade of the TRIPS Waiver, initiated by medico
international together with other German organizations and networks (see
below).

As it is a national initiative, all documents are in German. An
*informal *translation
of the press release and a background text are in the campaign website
https://makethemsign.eu/

The social media messages (#makethemsign) are very much designed for the
specific German context and actors, so it makes not much sense to translate
them. Basically the message to Federal Government and EU is: End the
blockade and sign (= agree to the Waiver proposal).

In addition to the social media campaign, concrete public actions are
planned together and complementary with the campaign “Solidarisch geht
anders” (Solidarity goes differently) by different social movements, i.e.
in Mainz and Marburg (headquarter and production site of BioNTech) as well
as in Berlin, 6 and 8 of June.

The Alliance is composed by: Action against Aids – AgA / afrique-europe
interact / Asociacion of Democratic Pharmacists – VDPP / Attac Germany /
Berliner Entwicklungspolitischer Ratschlag – BER / Berlin for India / BUKO
Pharma Campaign / Doctors of the World Germany / European Center for
Constitutional and Human Rights – ECCHR / Global Policy Forum – GPF /
International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War – IPPNW German
Section / Interventionistische Linke – IL / medico international /
Universities Allied for Essential Medicines – UAEM / World Vision Germany /
