*FEBRUARY MONTHLY MEETING*

*MINUTES OF THE MEETING HELD ON 27TH FEBRUARY 2019 AT*

*SARVODAYA HEADQUARTERS, MORATUWA*







This Meeting was specially convened to formulate a mechanism for open
government partnership.   The objective of this initiative is to get the
participation of the community for re-construction of primary health care
activities.   For this purpose, two organizations namely  Sarvodaya and
People’s Health Movement - Sri Lanka have been identified.  The Deputy
Director of Public Health of the Ministry of Health participated on behalf
of the Ministry of Health.



It was decided to initially activate in five areas as follows :-



1.     To develop a methodology to make sustainable community participation
possible.

2.     To set up a citizen and professionals-friendly  website  for
development of health.

3.     To build a medicinal drugs regulatory system for the benefit of the
people.

4.     To develop a communications methodology about research findings on
foods relevant to kidney diseases.

5.     To disseminate necessary messages on mental health in schools and
other institutions.



It was also decided to carry on discussions in this regard in the future as
well.



The participants agreed to implement the decisions taken at the last
meeting.
