*PHM India*
As mobilization activity for PHA4, PHM India is organising their Third
National Health Assembly 22-23 September at Raipur, Chhattisgarh, in
Central India. Around 1,000 activists from across the country are expected
to join the Assembly with the principal objective of evaluating and
critically analyzing current processes and policies that impact health and
healthcare at National/Regional/Local levels. The Assembly will also
undertake a collective assessment of PHM India’s (JSA) organizational and
programmatic activities and provide a renewed mandate for the future. For

Health for all – just for some?
PHM Australia is pleased to announce an important workshop designed to
examine the impacts of neoliberal globalisation on health and health care
in Australia, in the region and globally.
The workshop, designed as part of the lead up to PHA4, will explore the
impact of neoliberalism on health services, on the social determinants of
health and health equity and will work with a number of affiliated

*PHM Nepal National Health Assembly leading up to PHA4!*
PHM Nepal having its secretariat at RECPHEC (Resource Center for Primary
Health Care), a National NGO in Kathmandu, is mobilizing for 4PHA through
students' circle and country circle. Public health students from different
Universities of Nepal are engaged in students circle and conducting series
of meetings and discussions over the agendas of PHA4 to gain understanding
on them and be able to make a critique. Young activists who had
participated in IPHU Nepal, WHO watch are facilitating the processes.

Similarly PHM country circle is communicating with health and non health
activists of Nepal in order to develop PHM Nepal's position with regards to
agendas of PHA4. We have decided to make an open call to select the
candidates to attend 4PHA at Bangladesh. The selection would be based on
participants' understanding and experience about PHM and activism. Young
activists and students will be given priority during the selection process.

A National People's Health Assembly has been planned in September, 2018 to
finalize the Nepal's position and agenda in PHA4. Before that series of
preparatory meetings and discussions are being conducted in different parts
of Nepal.

*IPHU Amman discussed PHA4!*
>From 21 to 26 June,over 20 activists from the MENA region came together in
Jordan, Amman for the IPHU training course on the political economy of
health. On the last day representatives from each country identified how to
be part of the PHA4. Ideas included being part of a translation team (in
the lead up and at PHA4), writing information papers  to be presented as
case studies and mobilising and organising interest for PHA4 in their
country.
