The organisers of the *Humanitarian Congress* (
www.humanitarian-congress-berlin.org) are pleased to invite abstracts for
submissions for oral or poster presentations at the upcoming XVI.
Humanitarian Congress 2014 in Berlin.
The abstracts should relate to the topic:
*“Science where it’s really needed: Translating Innovative Research into
Humanitarian Medicine and Global Health Practice”*
They should address current issues, but are not limited to it, of:
· Practice of Humanitarian Medicine
*· *Neglected Tropical Diseases
· *Non**-**Communicable Diseases* (NCDs)
· Mental Health, Psycho-social & psychiatric care
· Telemedicine and innovative health technologies
· Access to Medicines & Neglected Populations (both within and
outside of Europe)
· Cross-disciplinary approaches
· Integrative health care management
· Big Data and new technologies
· Planetary Health
*Who may submit?*
The call is open to any interested individual; in particular we encourage
university academics, Master and PhD students, NGOs staff, staff working
for UN agencies and others working in the field of humanitarian medicine
and global health to submit abstracts.
Authors of abstracts selected for poster and oral presentations should
present results from their own research work or project evaluations.
Literature reviews will not be considered.
*You are cordially invited to forward this call to other interested parties
wanting to present their own relevant works.*
*Formatting & Submitting: *
Abstracts should be limited to maximum of 300 words. Do not include
illustrations, diagrams or other graphic objects. Abstracts can be uploaded
with http://humanitarian-congress-berlin.org/ and should be structured in
the following order: (1) Title of abstract, (2) Background, (3) Method, (4)
Results and (5) Conclusion.
*Deadline:*
The abstract should be submitted by no later than 30.06.2014.
*Fee: *
There is no cost for abstract submission.
The congress organisers offer free admission to the event to those
presenting. No travel or accommodation costs will be reimbursed.
