20 PHM Activists from Tanzania, Djibouti, Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda and Burundi
are meeting in Kampala with the objective to strengthen the movement in
locally in their countries and regionally!


*GOAL*

To create an opportunity to share knowledge, experiences and develop plan
of action in order to strengthen People’s Health Movement’ advocacy and
activism in the East Africa region
 *

OBJECTIVES
*

1. To familiarise participants with PHM programmes and look at ways that
the countries can work with current and any new PHM programmes e.g. HFA,
WHO watch;

2. To reflect on current activities and action in East Africa countries and
identify strengths and weaknesses in current country and regional structure
and processes

3. To identify issues and problems in the East African region that PHM as a
region can deal with / use as a mobilising issues;

4. To identify organisations and processes taking place in the region that
we should be engaging with

5. To agree on a common agenda and action plan for PHM in East Africa,
linked to the work of each country circle.
