Dear PHM colleagues,
This week in Kampala, Uganda, PHM country circles in eastern Africa
have come together to define regional health priorities and to
coordinate actions for PHM across seven countries. Delegates from
Djibouti, Somaliland, Rwanda, Burundi, Tanzania, Kenya and Uganda are
sharing experiences and working toward a common PHM East Africa
action plan, built on country programmes. Ideas on building and
maintaining strong grassroots movements are also being discussed,
with support from Linda Shuro, the Africa Regional Coordinator. PHM
country circles have made contributions to make the regional meeting
possible, and French/English interpretation is being provided
courtesy of PHM Rwanda. A joint launch of Global Health Watch 3 will
take place tomorrow, 30 Oct., in Kampala.
