Working to broaden PHM’s WHO Watch to regional and local levels,
PHM-Brazil, PHM-Latin America and PHM-North America have come together for
a PAHO Watch this week. The meeting is from September 30 through October 4
in Washington, DC.

After consulting with country circles, a few agenda items have been
identified as priority issues among the regions. Watchers will be following
these items closely:

   - 4.3 Social Protection in Health
   - 4.4 Human Resources for Health
   - 4.6 Chronic Kidney Disease in Agricultural Communities in Central
   America
   - 4.9 Cooperation for Health Development in the Americas
   - 4.10 Health in the post-2015 development agenda
   - 7.4 E Plan of Action on Psychoactive Substance Use and Public Health.
