The latest Access to Medicines Index reports
that pharmaceuticals giants are
changing perceptions in the developing
world by offering discounts, conducting
research on neglected diseases and being
more transparent in clinical trials. "It is
unclear whether the price reductions are
enough to meaningfully increase affordability,"
says the report.
