In addition to the evident need for equitable access to medical
technologies, such as medicines, diagnostics and vaccines, I would like to
highlight the need for appropriate *use* of such technologies, which means
ensuring that technologies are appropriate to the setting, and that the
health workforce is adequately supported to deliver them safely and
effectively.
