Women affected by breast cancer, in alliance with the women's movement
and treatment activists are launching a public campaign in India -
with a sign on letter to the Prime Minister - for access to
Trastuzumab (Herceptin), the breast cancer drug. Roche is charging
breast cancer patients in India between Rs.72,000 (1385 USD) to 92,000
(1730 USD) per dose. The letter requests the Indian PM to take strict
action against Roche; to start providing the drug to patients free of
cost; and to encourage the development of affordable biosimilar of
Trastuzumab.

Those who are interested in signing on on a petition and for more details,
please send an email to
kumargopakm at gmail.com (KM. Gopa Kumar).
