The People’s health movement wants to increase the capacity of health
civil society activists to engage with the policy making process, to
monitor and drive policy implementation and to ensure accountability
in the functioning of health systems. An important goal but how can
you actually achieve it? WANT TO LEARN MORE ABOUT HEALTH RIGHTS POLICY
ANALYSIS?
RIGHTS FOR CHANGE (The Netherlands) and
WOMEN’S SUPPORT CENTER (Kyrgyzstan)
invite you to join our workshops on health rights policy analysis for NGOs:
1) HEALTH RIGHTS POLICY ANALYSIS FOR NGO’S – WHAT, WHEN AND HOW
July 9th, 17.00-19.00, Room B 3
- get introduced to the What, When, Why and How of doing a health
rights based policy analysis.
- participate in a case study and hear examples of the use of Health
rights policy analysis in different countries.
- learn about experiences with the use of The Health Rights of Women
Assessment Instrument (HeRWAI).
- see how rights based approach to health always involves looking at
social determinants of health.
2) HEALTH RIGHTS POLICY ANALYSIS FOR NGO’S – STRATEGIZING FOR YOUR WORK
July 10th, 14.30-16.30, Room B 3
- determine if Human rights assessments could be a usefull strategy for you.
- explore more deeply how doing a Health rights policy analysis could
add to your work.
- consider the most urgent areas that require change in your country
- explore if doing a policy analysis is a useful strategy to add to
the current work.
- find out if and on which topic doing a human rights assessment
would be a good strategic choice.
