People’s Health Movement-PHM and the Community of Practitioners in
Accountability and Social Action in Health-COPASAH, invite you to the
workshop: *Community Monitoring for Accountability and Equity in Healthcare
Services. * This workshop will be held  during the PHA on  *July 9th,
17:00-19:00,
*in room* GH1. *

*Workshop description:*
Community monitoring for accountability in health refers to the systematic
review of the availability, accessibility and quality of health services
against specific government commitments/standards. It is a participatory
process  carried-out by citizens themselves thatincludes research, advocacy
and social mobilization-with the purpose of demanding government
accountability, bringing  positive changes in services and an equitable
distribution of resources. Participants in this workshop will be introduced
to methodologies, tools and approaches around community monitoring and will
learn through case studies from Africa, Asia and Latin America.
 Participants will also have the opportunity to engage with an existing
community of practice devoted to thefield of community monitoring. If you
