The NED is an organization of the US government set up during the Reagan
Administration. It supports political groups in line with US political
interests. It has been closely associated with the CIA. Here is one site
that discusses this:  http://www.iefd.org/articles/trojan_horse.php  and
points out that one of the countries that needs democracy and human right
most is the United States of America.
