Dear Claudio

Maybe you could spread the following message.

Thank you very much and best regards,

Martin

Chronic diseases: The global epidemic

The spread of noncommunicable diseases tells a story of poverty and
marginalization - in the North as well as in the South. These diseases
affect a population with an already weakened healthcare system, further
worsening their situation. Prevention and treatment costs increase.
Noncommunicable disease also affects the national economy, with a majority
of affected individuals being primarily of working age.

In 2011, noncommunicable disease tops the international agenda for the first
time. In Moscow in April 2011 "The First Global Ministerial Conference on
Healthy Lifestyles and Noncommunicable Disease Control" took place, and
expectations are high for the UN Summit of the international community
planned for September 2011.

The Network Medicus Mundi Switzerland has prepared an online dossier on the
issue.
