Dear All
This is a loudable example of intercountry or international parternership to
combat a serious threat to humankind, such as malaria. I hope that this
guesture will be followed by all other countries in future to combat maleria
and other public health problems worldwide, especially in developing
countries. Cuba though poor and unjustly blockaded and segregated by glohbal
hegemonic powers for more than 50 years has withstood on its commitment for
HFA as a briliant model for health and development of Cuba and other
countries. It supports public health infractures of several countries in
South America, Africa and Asia by sending hundreds and thousands of
competent health professionals to serve the rural population in spite of
prevailing harsh living conditions in these areas. So much so hundreds of
uninsured or underinsured US citizens go to Cuba 'illegally' to get advanced
health care at low and affordable cost.
I salute Cuba and its heroic, resilient people with a true spirit of
international human dignity.
