"All policy is health policy".. It is imperative that policy makers in all
areas are aware that failure to address climate change will result in
enormous costs to health worldwide, and sound policies to reduce emissions
will also reap numerous health benefits in UK and globally.
You can sign the pledge at www.climateandhealth.org/pledge to register your
support for a fair and binding deal to address climate change.
A small group within PHM set up to focus on the issues of environment and
health, and as the International Climate and Health Council refocus on
building an international movement to use the voice and influence of health
professionals. For information about the Climate and Health Council, see Sue
(the co-chair)'s blog at
http://www.climateandhealth.org/magazine/read/climate-and-health-council-priorities_51.html
If you would like to help with setting up a Climate and Health Council group
within your country, please contact Robin (co-chair)
