TRAINING OPPORTUNITY / EQUITAS / CALL FOR APPLICATIONS FOR OUR ANNUAL
INTERNATIONAL HUMAN RIGHTS TRAINING PROGRAM (IHRTP), 05-24 JUNE 2011: In its
32nd year, the goal of the IHRTP is to strengthen the capacity of human
rights organizations to undertake effective human rights education efforts
aimed at building a global culture of human rights. The IHRTP is intended
for human rights workers and educators from non-governmental organizations,
National Human Rights Institutions, government bodies and educational
institutions. The three-week program is an opportunity to meet more than 120
participants from around the world and engage in a process of mutual
teaching and learning. ‘This training program is an important Canadian
contribution to the spread of human rights and democratic principles around
the world,’ says Ian Hamilton, Executive Director of Equitas. Deadline for
