*Call for Proposals*

The International Health Partnership and related initiatives
(IHP+)Initiatives related to the International Health Partnership
include : the
Harmonization for Health in Africa (AHA), the Catalytic Initiative, (CI),
the Providing for Health  (P4H) Initiative, GAVI’S Health System
Strengthening (HSS), the Global Fund-National Strategy Applications, The
Health Metrics Network, (HMN) , the Global Health Workforce Alliance (GHWA),
and the MDG Africa Initiative.
 has launched a Civil Society Health Policy Action Fund in 2010. This fund
is open to support health organisations, networks and coalitions in *21 IHP*
* countries *over a one-year period. The countries are* *Benin, Burkina
Faso, Burundi, Cambodia, Democratic Republic of Congo, Djibouti, Ethiopia,
Kenya, Madagascar, Mali, Mozambique, Nepal, Niger, Nigeria, Rwanda, Senegal,
Togo, Tanzania, Uganda, Vietnam, and Zambia.

The fund aims to support southern civil society organizations, networks and
coalitions to become more effectively engaged in national health policy
processes. Supported by the grants, recipients will engage in dialogue with
key policy makers from national governments and global health
initiatives Global
health initiatives such as (but not limited to) PEPFAR and the Global Fund
to fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria They will monitor and analyse health
policy implementation and hold governments and aid donors accountable to
work towards universal and equitable access to health care, and the
achievement of the health related Millennium Development Goals.

The *Civil Society Health Policy Action Fund* invites proposals for between
*$25,000 and $ 30,000 from the 21 countries.* Interested applicants are
requested to visit the Fund website at www.healthpolicyactionfund.org for
the detailed *Criteria for Selection* and the *application forms*. *The call
for proposals opens 19 March 2010. *The Final date for receiving
