March 20th, 2009 marks the third annual National Native HIV/AIDS Awareness
Day (NNHAAD) <http://www.hhs.gov/aidsawarenessdays/days/native/index.html>,
a nationwide initiative to promote education and discussion about topics
such as the risk of HIV and/or AIDS in Native communities, resources for
testing, and treatment options. Empowering Native communities by raising
awareness of these issues is a positive step!
