Southern Med Review
An international journal to promote and publish commentary and research on the rational use of and access to medicines.

Context:In developing countries where health systems and health policy are constantly evolving, there is a great need to publish informative research. However, there are few avenues to do so due to, among others, inexperienced or untrained researchers, topics that are out of the scope of current, mainstream journals, limited funding, etc. 
 
Aims and Objectives:Southern Med Review provides a platform for researchers to disseminate commentary and empirical research findings, with a view to improving the rational use of and access to essential medicines.
 
The Southern Med Review is published quarterly every year in Auckland, New Zealand.
 
Why publish in Southern Med Review?
 
The journal provides an alternative for emerging researchers to publish their material in a supportive environment. There is also the opportunity for established research leaders to share their learning with the rest of the world.

Call for Papers
Southern Med Review welcomes submissions for its March issue - feature articles, full research papers, research-in- brief papers, learning in practice, viewpoints, policy briefs, letters to the editor and other forms of scholarship till 10th February 2009.
 
Full research papers should not exceed more than 3500 words. All other forms of articles should be within the range of 2500 words.
 
Articles must be submitted in Vancouver Style, which is a numerical style that follows the rules established by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (http://www.icmje. org/).
