As an organisation with strong links with the People's Health Movement, I
would like to draw your attention to a report some of our members in the UK
have written at www.wherestheconsultation.org. It details our attempts to
collate submissions to a public consultation by the Department of Health on
proposals to remove free primary healthcare from refused asylum seekers,
undocumented migrants and victims of trafficking.

The report has received some news coverage nationally
(http://www.guardian.co.uk/politics/2008/aug/03/health.health;
http://www.bmj.com/cgi/content/full/337/aug01_2/a1111<http://www.guardian.co.uk/politics/2008/aug/03/health.health>;
we hope to continue efforts to ensure healthcare is free at the point of
need for these vulnerable groups.

Please circulate this report as widely as reasonably possible.
