While this is an interesting poem, it has been on the internet at
least since at least 2001. Since them it has variously been
attributed to an African kid in 2005, 2006, 2007 and now in 2008. A
resilient kid if nothing else. The fact that the UN doesn't have a
best poem competition tends to cloud the issue. Sorry Poets!

- Some have argued that it was actually written by Malcolm X.
- Some have said it is titled "The Kettle".
- Most say written by anonymous some time ago

- Besides, I doubt that the UN gives the anonymous their due.
