On 16 October 2008, the Global Health Watch 2 (GHW2) was launched in London (UK), Quito (Ecuador), Bangalore (India), and on 17 October 2008 in Brussels (Belgium).

Launching our Alternative World Health Report came simultaneously with the formal release of the World Health Report 2008 during the International Conference devoted to the 30 Anniversary of Alma-Ata Declaration (WHO/UNICEF) on Primary Healthcare (Almaty, Kazakhstan from 15 to 16 October 2008). During the Almaty conference, copies of the Global Health Watch 2 was also distributed.
