 Dear Ghassan ,
 Thanks for your letter . read a bit about Lebanon but then the Cyclone in
Myanmar , Earthquake in China probablyfilled the finternational news . I
feel bad for what is happening in Lebanon. I hope all the friends we met at
the Regional Meeting are safe . Please send our lovinfg regards & tell them
that we pray for their safety .
There have been  8 serial bomb blasts in Jaipur  Rajasthan a very popular
tourist destination, over 70 dead & 200 injured .Since 3 were outside
temples & Tuesday is a prayer day  they were definately meant to instigate
communal tensions .The people of Jaipur have been very mature & together
combatting the crisis . There has been shortage of blood & mortuary space
.There has been some infilteration in the Samba sector border . I hope that
the peace we have had in the past 2 years is maintained .I hope there is no
more blood shed any where .
When there is so much pain & suffering  already why add more
Such incidents raise the demand for strong POTA ( Prevention of Terrorism
Act ) which has its own implications .
Yesterday was Dr Binayek's 1 year in jail .we had a protest meetoing at
Jantar Mantar Delhi & then performances by Artists for Human Rights  to Free
Binayek .
Please let us know of your welfare .& of ARC staff& friends in Lebannon
