International Master's Programme in Public Health at Lund University,
Sweden

The Faculty of Medicine at Lund University is currently offering a
two-year International Master's Programme in Public Health. The
programme has been developed in accordance with the Bologna system for
educational standards in Europe and is conducted in English. The focus
of the curriculum is global health, and thus serves as a meeting ground
for students from all over the world. Lund University is one of the
oldest universities in northern Europe and has a long-standing tradition
of academic excellence.

The programme is tuition free. However, the Swedish Migration Board
requires that foreign students have at their disposal 7300 Swedish
crowns (SEK) per month for ten months of each study year to cover living
expenses. A limited number of scholarships are available from the
Swedish Institute. These may be sought at the same time that students
apply to the programme.

The aim of the programme is to provide fundamental knowledge concerning
theories and methods in public health, including health promotion and
disease prevention, and the planning, implementation, and evaluation of
public health research.

Applicants are welcome from all sectors, not only the health sector, but
also from the areas of education, social work, environment and political
science.

The academic requirements are: 180 University credits (120 Swedish
University credits in the old credit system) or the equivalent abroad
(B.Sc., BA. or similar degree).

The next term for which applications can be made will begin in the
autumn, 2008. The application period for this term starts on December 1,
2007 and ends on February 1, 2008.  For further information and
