There has been a long silence from the Campaign coordinators for which we apologize.

The process of preparing the RTHC Country Assessment Tool has taken double the time we expected, because we actually have done two of them. After lengthy review, the first one was considered too complicated by our reviewers so we started from scratch in April of this year.

After many cycles of revision, we are glad to report that the tool is now 99% ready and should be shared with PHM country circles by September.

Time has also been spent doing some fund-raising and we have made a modest beginning with a generous 5,000 pounds grant from Save the Children UK. Four other proposals are being sent out.

Our aim still is to --using the new tool-- complete some 40 country assesments in the next year.

We have now also expanded our coordination group --and that took some time (see list of signatories below).

We remind you that the country assessments are only phase one of our campaign. Refresh your memory about the other two upcoming phases by visiting www.phmovement.org and clicking on RTH campaign. You will find the short summary of our original proposal there.

We invite all PHM members (and other individuals and organizations) to wholehearedly join the campaign and volunteer to work with us.

In prepaparation for the active launching, we need people to organize PHM national circles to use the tool to make their country reports.

We also need help with fund-raising ideas and contacts, especially local contacts in each of your countries. We have developed a short standard core fund-raising proposal text that can be shared with those of you who can help in this activity.

We look forward with optimism to the months to come. The challenge is on and we do not take it lightly. Without the help of our worldwide PHM membership, the campaign will falter. An effort like this cannot be handled with a central thrust only.

With you, we can and will do it.
