PHA-Exchange> PHM Sessions and Stall at Forum -9, Mumbai, 12-17th September 05

Dear Friends, 

Regarding - PHM Sessions and Stall at Forum -9, Mumbai, 12-17th September 05.

  1.. This is to inform all the participants of the Forum 9 of the Global Forum for Health Research which is being organized in Mumbai (Hyatt) from 12-16th September 2005), that there will be a stall in the market place for People's health Movement - Global (PHM) in collaboration with Centre for Enquiry into Health and Allied Themes (CEHAT) which is the center which also hosts PHM-India Secretariat in Pune.  The stall will be facilitated by Prasanna Saligram, Communication Officer of the PHM-Global Secretariat (Bangalore). 

  2.. All participants linked to PHM from any region of the world may contact Prasanna (prasanna at phmovement.org) at the market place and give us PHM related materials for display or distribution from their region. 

  3.. We hope to organize an informal PHM lunchtime meeting on Thursday, 15th September from 1-2 p.m. to share about the Second People's Health Assembly and the Cuenca Declaration and release the next Newsbrief 16.  Please invite, inform, alert all your friends and contacts who are attending  Forum 9 to meet us at the stall or the meeting. Venue will be announced at the Forum. 

  4.. PHM will also release a small booklet 'Research for People's Health'  which evolved from a global dialogue of researchers organized as a pre-assembly Satellite forum on 14-16th July at Cuenca. This was supported by the Global Forum for Health Research, University of Cuenca, International People's health University, PHM and PHA2 and had a good representation of the Latin America and Caribbean Research Forum. 

  5.. The PHM related delegates as of now will include Ravi Narayan (Global Coordinator), Ron Labonte (PHM - Canada), Itai Rusike (PHM - Zimbabwe), Ravi Duggal (PHM India), Prasanna (PHM Global Secretariat) and others.
